The Lithuanian engineering industries association LINPRA, the German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce AHK and the  Information and Communication Technologies Association INFOBALT will host the 3nd Industry 4.0 Conference under the motto „Adding value with Industry 4.0”  on 17th May 2018 in Vilnius on the occasion of the trade fair Balttechnika 2018. During the conference, experts from leading European countries and Lithuania will share knowledge about the latest trends in production technologies. Wide program, interesting announcements, a public discussion with Lithuanian and international experts as well seminars on separate topics, representatives of industry, business associations, science and education institutions and institutions of both Lithuania and neighboring countries are invited to the conference. Our goal is to contribute to the technological progress of companies, increase corporate digital maturity as well as a creative ecosystem and share best practices.

BALTIK VAIRAS today is a largest bicycle & e-bikes manufacturer in Northern Europe. Located in northern part of Lithuania (Šiauliai). Operating since 1948, the company exports top-quality bicycles all over Europe. Having manufacturing capacity of 6 lines, produces 1700 different models and is able to deliver up to 500 000 bicycles per year. Few percent of the production stays in Baltics. Other bicycles are exported to 14 countries - to Germany, Netherlands, Denmark, Switzerland, Austria, Finland, and others. Last few years company invests to process control and digitalization. More than 300 working places out of 500 are digital and controlled by specially designed Production Management system.

Previous head of the Engineering Industries Association of Lithuania (LINPRA), coordinator of Lithuanian Plastics Cluster and representative in different organizations and projects on local and international scale, one of the most initiative and active ambassadors of Lithuanian industry and innovations. On international level Gintaras Vilda successfully represented engineering industries of Lithuania being a member of the high level group in European Technology Platform Manufuture; member of the European Plastic Converters EUPC; European Composites, Plastics and Polymer Processing Platform ECP4; European Factories of the Future Research Association EFFRA. One of the key areas of activity is spreading the Industry 4.0 concept and principles to ensure the most effective use of new technologies and taking into account the opportunities offered by digitization, also developing Digital Innovation Hubs in the European network. Gintaras Vilda is one of the members of Coordination Group of National Industrial Competitiveness Commission ‘Industry 4.0’. Today as a Vice-Minister he is responsible for innovation development policy in the Ministry of Economy of Lithuania.

Andrej Jarmolajev has over 20 years’ experience in CAD, BIM and PLM industries. During the previous twelve years, the economist had worked extensively on Azerbaijan's economic cooperation with Germany, first as an economic expert at the German Association for International Cooperation (GIZ), and from 2006 on as CEO of the German-Azerbaijan Economic Association.


TOMAS JASKELEVIČIUS

Tomas Jaskelevičius has over 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering business in EU. Has been working in the field of metal processing, electronics and plastics with various manufacturing companies in the Baltics and customers in EU. Runs own consultancy company PBS (Progressive Business Solutions) since 2006, which focuses on exports and acquisitions, manufacturing processes including Monitor ERP, machine tool sales (official representative of Bystronic, Hyundai WIA, BLM etc.). In 2014 PBS together with the real estate developer EIKA became a 50 / 50 co-owner of an investment company operating in the Free Economic Zones (Šiauliai and Kėdainiai). Since 2007 T. Jaskelevičius is one of the leaders at Arginta Engineering company, actively involved in its development and export activities. Arginta Engineering sales increased from 5 to 30 mln. euros in the period of 5 years. Public responsibilities: president of Lithuanian Engineering Industries Association LINPRA, Chairman of the board at Baltic Automotive Component Cluster BACC.

Gian Paolo Bassi brings more than 25 years of experience in 3D, CAD, and PLM industries to Dassault Systèmes SolidWorks Corp. As CEO, Gian Paolo spearheads the development of SOLIDWORKS future product and technology strategies designed for the desktop and the cloud, and collaboration with the strong user community. He most recently served as the vice president of research and development, where he was responsible for charting future product and technology strategies, including the development of the SOLIDWORKS cloud applications. Prior to SOLIDWORKS, Gian Paolo was the founder and CTO of RIWEBB where he oversaw the development of new technologies for the Mechanical and Architectural Design Automation industry, collaborating with companies like Dassault Systèmes. Prior to RIWEBB, Gian Paolo served as vice president and CTO of ImpactXoft, where he led the team developing functional modeling and collaboration applications which are now part of CATIA. In this position, he co-invented three of his five patents in functional modeling. He also served in the R&D organizations of companies like Computervision and think3. Gian Paolo holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bologna.

Mr. Vertelka is a Managing Director at INFOBALT. Founded in 1994, INFOBALT is a locally and internationally recognized representative of Lithuanian ICT industry. Its mission is to promote the use of Information and Communication Technologies to benefit society, businesses and public sector.

Previously he was the Had of Governmental Program JPP “Kurk Lietuvai” and worked as an expert on improving investment climate at "Invest Lithuania". Paulius has graduated high school in the U.S. and later acquired a double major degree (B.A.) in Economics and Political Science at the University of Illinois at Chicago. During his student years, Paulius co-founded the Lithuanian Student Association of North America and presided over it until his graduation.
